The Medical Amnesty Law

Medical Amnesty legislation, or 911 Good Samaritan, 911 Lifeline, and Alcohol Amnesty as it is sometimes referred to, has been passed in 21 states and Washington, D.C. Although the wording and specific requirements of each state's bill differs slightly, the intent is to grant limited immunity from a state's Minor in Possession of alcohol (MIP) charge in certain circumstances where they make contact with officials during an emergency.
